West Brom Eye Loan Swoop for Unsettled Manchester City Winger

Baggies hope to land exciting wide man for the new campaign.

West Bromwich Albion are interested in taking unwanted Manchester City midfield player Scott Sinclair on a season-long loan in the upcoming campaign, according to reports in the Sun.

The former England Under-21 international was only signed by the mega-rich Premier League side last August, having been brought to Eastlands from Swansea City on a four-year deal by previous City head coach Roberto Mancini.

However, the 24-year-old endured a tough debut campaign in the north west, with the Italian barely using Sinclair as part of his first-team plans, with the wide man instead spending the majority of last season warming the substitutes’ bench instead.

In total, the Team GB star featured in just 14 matches overall in all competitions for City in the previous campaign, including in only 11 contests in the Premier League, although Sinclair failed to register a single goal or even an assist for his new team in that time.

And now West Brom boss Steve Clarke is hoping to take advantage of the current uncertainty surrounding the winger’s future at City by luring Sinclair to the Hawthorns on loan next season with a view to signing the player on a permanent deal come next summer.
