Bologna Forward Alessandro Diamanti Rules Out Juventus Move

Bologna striker insists he is staying at the club.

Bologna striker Alessandro Diamanti has denied reports linking him with a move to Serie A champions Juventus according to Goal.com.

The Italian striker has been in highly impressive form for Bologna in recent seasons, attracting the attention of a number of top Italian sides.

The 30 year old has been strongly linked with a move to AC Milan but reports in recent days had suggested that Juventus were in pole position to secure his services.

Juventus are keen to bolster their squad this summer as they look to strengthen their performance in Europe.

Despite having dominated Italian football over the last two seasons, the team was comprehensively swept aside by eventual Champions League winners Bayern Munich in the knockout stages of the competition last season.

The club have already completed the signing of Carlos Tevez from Manchester City and Fernando Llorente from Atletico Madrid.

But it appears that Diamanti will not be joining them after the player poured cold water on suggestions he was set to leave Bologna.

Diamanti is a fan favourite at the club as well having been made captain of the team.

It is thought that Diamanti does not want to risk the prospect of sitting on the bench with the Old Lady ahead of next summer’s World Cup finals tournament in Brazil.
