Selhurst Park hope to snap up Emirates Stadium forward.
Crystal Palace boss Ian Holloway is hoping to bring in Arsenal forward Marouane Chamakh on loan to help beef up his Eagles attack according to The Sun.
Holloway has already signed Kevin Phillips, Jose Campana, Jerome Thomas, Dwight Gayle and Stephen Dobbie but could well feel that his squad will struggle to cope with life in the English top tier and may feel Chamakh could re-ignite his flagging career in South London.
Chamakh is little more than a bit part player at the Emirates Stadium, the Moroccan international having last started a Premier League fixture for the Gunners back in October 2011, and as such the chance to secure regular football will surely be tempting.
However one stumbling block could come in the form of Chamakh’s £65k a week pay packet, and specifically who will foot the bill for the lions share of that outlay.
Chamakh joined Arsenal on a free transfer from Bordeaux back in July 2010 and has proceeded to score just 14 goals in 67 appearances for the club.
Last season Chamakh joined West Ham on a half season long loan deal, starting two Premier League matches, being subbed in both and failing to find the back of the net.
