French ace joins Premier League new boys.
Crystal Palace have brought in former Blackpool winger Elliot Grandin on a free transfer after he impressed on trial, Sky Sports reports.
The 25-year-old left Bloomfield Road at the end of the season and has now linked up with the south London outfit as they continue their preparations for their return to the top flight.
Palace boss Ian Holloway is a big admirer of Grandin having signed the Frenchman during his time in charge of Blackpool, and he will now feature in the side’s remaining friendlies before the season kicks off on August 17.
Grandin is set to sign a one-year deal with the option of a further 12 months as Holloway continues his plans to strengthen his squad before the transfer window slams shut in September.
A former French under-21 international, Grandin began his career with Caen before earning a move to Ligue 1 giants Marseille, but after failing to establish himself after two season there he moved on to Grenoble Foot.
A short stint in Bulgaria with CSKA Sofia followed, but that move didn’t work out either and he secured his move to Blackpool in 2010 where he tried, and failed, to keep them in the Premier League.
