Red Devils are determined to land coveted Spain playmaker this summer.
Manchester United are preparing a third bid of £35 million for FC Barcelona midfield player Cesc Fabregas, according to reports in the Daily Mail.
The Premier League champions have made the purchase of the Spain international their number one priority of the summer transfer window, with new Red Devils head coach David Moyes understood to be desperate to add some more creative invention to what he considers to be a stale midfield at Old Trafford next season.
And so far the north-west giants have had two bids of £26m and £30m for the 26-year-old rejected by the Spanish champions, although the club are said to now be readying a third and final club-record offer in order to lure Fabregas back to the Premier League this summer.
United have so far been encouraged by noises coming out of the Fabregas camp suggesting that the playmaker would be keen on making the move to United so that he can once again be reunited with former Arsenal front man Robin van Persie, with the duo having enjoyed such a successful partnership together during their time at the Emirates.
And despite new Barca boss Gerardo Martino recently saying: “I’m not going to involve myself in the club accounts, but considering the club has already rejected two offers, I would guess it will reject a third,” United feel that a third big-money offer may be enough to convince the Catalans to part company with a player who has scored 29 goals in 96 matches since returning to Camp Nou from Arsenal two years ago.
