Former Valencia Star Pablo Aimar moves to Malaysia

After a summer of speculation, it has been confirmed that Pablo Aimar will be playing Malaysian Super League Football this season,

The former River Plate, Benfica and Zaragoza man has signed a deal with Johor Darul Takzim.

According to Goal.com, In a statement the Tunku Mahkota of Johor ( Crown Prince of Johor) said: “[Pablo Aimar] was smiling when he told us that his decision to play with JDT was made ever since he arrived in Johor.”

The Crown Prince also hinted that Aimar’s move will be anything but a short term money-spinner.

” He is not just here to play with us, but also to contribute to the development of the football system, even at the academy level once he is retired from playing.

“He loves Johor and feels that it is a great place for him and his family to settle down.”
