Singaporean snubs move abroad

Lions XII Midfielder has rejected the advances of Portugese club Rio Ave.

It is believed the combination of National service commitments and salary issues are reason, the 22-year-old refused the offer from the Premier Ligue side.

Agent Jorge Mendes had been negotiating with club’s for a year to find a new home for Harun.

According to News Asia One a FAS  Spokesperson said:  FAS is always on the lookout for overseas playing opportunities for our players.

“We are still in talks with several clubs and agents across Asia and Europe and will provide an update when there is further development. We will continue to do our best to secure an overseas playing contract for our players.

“Having said that, the decision is entirely up to the player and FAS will always respect the decision.”
