QPR Plot Ambitious Move to Sign Tottenham Trio

Loftus Road boss looks to conduct White Hart Lane raid.

QPR are looking to sign out-of-favour Tottenham trio Scott Parker, Andros Townsend and Jermain Defoe this summer, according to the Daily Mail.

Former Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp, now at QPR, wants to raid his former club for some of their stars this summer to fire them back into the Premier League. With numerous players leaving Loftus Road this summer, Redknapp is trying to bring in quality and firepower to send them back up at the first time of asking.

Redknapp signed Defoe at West Ham, Portsmouth and Tottenham, and is a big fan of the England international. Known for his clinical finishing at the highest level, Defoe has been linked with a move away but isn’t keen on going down into the Championship. QPR have made enquiries into signing him this summer, but they have been turned down.

The Championship side are also keen on signing Scott Parker this summer and have already had a move rebuffed for the England midfielder. Parker has been pushed down the Tottenham pecking order this summer with the arrival of Paulinho from Corinthians, and the expected arrival of Etienne Capoue from Toulouse, Parker looks set to leave the North London club.

Andros Townsend spent last season on loan at QPR, impressing the coaching staff at the club, and Redknapp wishes to bring him to Loftus Road. Unlikely to break into the Tottenham first team, QPR are looking to sign him in a cut price deal, however, Spurs are quoted as wanting £7million for the winger.
