German press claim midfielder is considering his future.
Real Madrid midfielder Mesut Ozil could consider leaving the club due to the imminent arrival of Gareth Bale, with Bild claiming that he could be made available for around £38million.
The 24-year-old reportedly feels that his place in the team’s starting lineup is under threat with Bale being brought in from Tottenham, and could consider leaving for interested party Manchester United.
The Red Devils have been chasing a new midfield playmaker for much of the summer due to the retirement of Paul Scholes, and have so far missed out on several of their top targets, including Cesc Fabregas and Thiago Alcantara, whilst also struggling to persuade Everton to sell Marouane Fellaini.
Time is running out for new manager David Moyes to make this crucial addition to his squad, with just over a week of the summer transfer window remaining, though news of Ozil’s unrest at the Bernabeu could be a big boost to the United boss.
Ozil has been with Real Madrid since 2010, making over 150 appearances for the Spanish giants.
