Roma could move for United winger following Lamela sale.
Serie A side Roma could make a move for Manchester United winger Nani as a replacement for Tottenham-bound Erik Lamela, according to Sports Direct News.
Nani, who has also been linked with Juventus this summer, did not enjoy the best run of form for United last season despite their emphatic title win in the Premier League, and it is thought he could now be surplus to requirements at Old Trafford.
The 26-year-old has not featured yet under new manager David Moyes, who has shown a preference for Antonio Valencia on the right wing, and even Danny Welbeck playing out of position on the left.
Roma are undergoing a lot of change to personel this summer, as they also eye a replacement for striker Pablo Osvaldo, who recently joined Southampton, and they supposedly see Nani as a decent alternative to Lamela, who is closing in on a £30million switch to Spurs.
Manager Rudi Garcia has already brought in Gervinho from Arsenal and Kevin Strootman from PSV, but will be keen to continue strengthening his side after the loss of several key players.
Nani has been at United since 2007, scoring 40 goals in over 200 appearances for the club.
