Danish international White Hart Lane bound.
Tottenham have agreed a £10.7m deal to sign Ajax midfielder Christian Eriksen according to Sports Direct News.
The 21 year old Danish international is now in talks with the North London club over personal terms as Tottenham look to continue a summer spending spree that seems to be funded primarily by the imminent sale of Gareth Bale to Real Madrid, a deal that is seemingly set to be completed in the very near future.
Tottenham had failed with an initial £7m bid for Ajax playmaker Eriksen but have increased their offer to £10.7m, which will be paid in three installments.
Eriksen has helped Ajax to three successive Eredivisie titles but with one year left on his current contract it would appear inevitable that a number of sides would take an active interest in the youngster.
Attacking midfielder Eriksen will offer Tottenham a fresh creative option as well as offering a very real goal threat to help add further strength in depth to a White Hart Lane squad that could well end up being better equipped to secure a Champions League spot than if they had managed to keep hold of Bale.
Eriksen has racked up over 150 appearances for Ajax and has 34 Danish national team caps to his name.
Tottenham have already brought in Etienne Capoue, Nacer Chadli, Roberto Soldado and Paulinho, with Erik Lamela also on his way, Eriksen could be the latest in a long line of quality summer additions made by Andre Villas-BOas.
