Anfield side set sights on Ukrainian international.
Liverpool are reportedly leading the chase to sign highly rated Ukrainian international Andriy Yarmolenko according to Sports Direct News.
The Anfield side are apparently ready to offer as much as £20m for the Dynamo Kiev winger who is also attracting interest from Arsenal. Brendan Rodgers may feel the need to strengthen his attack after seeing Liverpool manage just two goals from their opening fixtures against Stoke City and Aston Villa.
23 year old Yarmolenko has been a pivotal performer at the NSC Olimpiyskiy scoring 42 goals over the course of the past three seasons and providing a constant stream of assists to boot, though £20m does seem a fairly hefty price to pay for the rangy wide-man.
Brendan Rodgers has sold Stewart Downing after the England man’s less than spectacular two season spell at the club and has also loaned out Moroccan Oussama Assaidi to Stoke City so could feel the need to bring in another creative supplier to provide his attack with much needed ammunition.
Though it should be noted that the Liverpool boss has also brought in the likes of Iago Aspas, Luis Alberto and seen both Daniel Sturridge and Coutinho impress a great deal this year.
