White Hart Lane side keen on Old Trafford forward.
Tottenham have set their sights on Man United striker Javier Hernandez though the Old Trafford side have demanded at least £20m for the Mexican according to Sports Direct News.
Andre Villas-Boas has spent over £100m on new signings this summer, including the acquisitions of forwards Roberto Soldado and Erik Lamela from Valencia and Roma respectively but seemingly the White Hart Lane boss is eager to bring in further attacking options, a move that would all but see the end of Jermain Defoe and Emmanuel Adebayor’s chances at the North London club.
Chicharito has struggled to retain a foothold in the Man United starting eleven and could be open to a fresh challenge after three years the club.
Hernandez made just nine Premier League starts last season but still managed to score 18 goals in all competitions and has more than proved himself capable of making an impact in the English top tier.
Tottenham are said to have failed with an earlier £15m bid for the 25 year old but could be willing to make a bigger offer having secured around £85m from the sale of Gareth Bale to Real Madrid.
With Wayne Rooney seemingly likely to stay at Man United Hernandez’s chances of forging a career for himself at the Premier League title holder’s are even less likely and as such a move to White Hart Lane could be a tempting one for the lethal finisher to consider.
