Gareth Bale will once again be missing from the starting line up as manager Chris Coleman still holds concerns over the player’s fitness. The world’s most expensive footballer sat on the bench as an unused substitute in Friday’s shock 2-1 defeat to Macedonia and will likely be keeping the same spot warm for the visit of Serbia.

Skipper Ashley Williams will be missing through suspension, whilst midfielder Jonathan Williams will also miss out.

Coleman has said that he will not call up a replacement for the Crystal Palace man, even though Wolves’ Sam Ricketts has now emerged as a doubt as Reading wide man Hal Robson-Kanu will return to the side after missing the clash in Skopje through suspension.

Serbia aren’t thought to have any fresh injury concerns of their own following their 1-1 draw with rivals Croatia on Friday. Matija Nestasic is expected to continue in defence after returning from a lengthy layoff, whilst Miralem Sulejmani could come into the side following his impressive cameo from the bench last week.

Wales’ defeat to Macedonia all but ended their slim hopes at qualification for next year’s World Cup, whilst Serbia will be hoping to catch to with Croatia and Belgium.
