Everton are set to renew their interest in Man United midfielder Anderson with a January move for the Brazilian in the offing according to Sports Direct News.

Toffees boss Roberto Martinez is reportedly a long term admirer of the 25 year old who has become something of a bit part player at Old Trafford in recent seasons.

The former FC Porto man has started just one of Man United’s opening four Premier League fixtures and could perhaps be open to a move away from the Premier League title holders and may be the latest in a long line of Man United stars who have made the move to Goodison Park.

Anderson could perhaps offer Martinez some added steel to the Everton midfield, an area the Spaniard is clearly keen on strengthening if his move to bring in Man City’s Gareth Barry on loan is anything to go by. Indeed the Merseyside club may well feel that having sold Marouane Fellaini to Man United such a move is all the more sensible.

Anderson moved to Man United back in the summer of 2007 and has made a total of 172 appearances for the club, of which 49 were from the bench.
