Spurs will have to make do without two key wide men against Norwegian side Tromso tonight as both Aaron Lennon and Nacer Chadli will miss out with foot and hip injuries respectively.
Lennon has not featured for Tottenham since the opening day of the season against Crystal Palace and was absent from the side’s training session on Wednesday.
Belgian winger Chadli is still suffering from an adductor muscle strain that kept him out of Saturday’s match against Norwich.
Fellow new midfielder Etienne Capoue (ankle) is also out, whilst striker Emmanuel Adebayor continues to be banished to training with the development squad.
Tromso will have defender Miika Koppinen on board, who scored for Rosenborg in a 1-1 draw at Chelsea six years ago – a match that proved to be the final game of Jose Mourinho’s first spell in charge of the west London club.
“The last time I was here in London it was a nice experience for me,” said Koppinen.
“I would love to score against Tottenham. It’s going to be difficult.”
