Liverpool Target’s Agent Confirms January Move Is Possible

Anzhi striker set to be next in mass clear-out.

The agent of Anzhi Makhachkala striker Lacina Traore has hinted that the Liverpool target will be available when the transfer window opens again in January, according to talkSPORT.

The 23-year-old has been a highly impressive performer for the Russian club since joining in 2012, scoring 17 goals in 38 appearances last season to attract some interest from all around Europe, including Liverpool and Juventus.

With Anzhi undergoing a mass clear-out of their top earners this summer, it looked like Traore would be on his way out along with the likes of Willian and Samuel Eto’o, both of whom joined Chelsea, but he ended up sticking around for the time being.

Still, an exit may not be far away, and Liverpool will be boosted in their efforts to sign the Ivory Coast international with news that the player is likely to be available for a reasonable offer in January.

Speaking on his client’s future, Traore’s agent added that there could still be interest from other clubs in Russia as well, saying: “In case of a decent proposal that satisfies all the parties, Lacina can change clubs next winter.

“The demand for Traore both in Russia and in Europe is quite good.”

Liverpool are keen to add to their options upfront in January, with the possibility that Luis Suarez could still be angling for a move away from the club, with Spanish giants Real Madrid ready to pounce for the unsettled Uruguayan.
