Hammers hope to keep hold of much-improved starlet.
West Ham are set to open talks with Ravel Morrison over signing a new long-term contract with the club, according to Sports Direct News.
The 20-year-old has been in fine form for Sam Allardyce’s side this season, finally showing the exceptional potential seen in him by Manchester United in his days at Old Trafford as a youngster.
Although hampered by off-the-pitch problems in the past, much work has been done by West Ham to ensure Morrison can harness his fine natural talent and become a top player for the club, and they are hoping that they will now be able to keep him as part of their future.
A source close to the club is quoted as saying: “He is a huge part of our future and we have no intention of losing him. Too much time, patience, energy, lifestyle training and coaching has gone into things to let that happen.”
