Malky Mackay Was Asked To Resign By Cardiff City

Scot’s position with the Bluebirds is still understood to be under threat.

Cardiff City head coach Malky Mackay was asked to resign from his post with the newly promoted Premier League side this week, according to exclusive reports in the Daily Mail.

The hugely popular Scot, who has been in charge of the Bluebirds since June 2011, was understood to be furious that the club’s owner, Vincent Tan, removed his right-hand man and head of recruitment, Iain Moody, without his knowledge.

And what made things even worse was the fact that Moody’s replacement, Alisher Apsalyamov, a 23-year-old Kazakhstani who is friends with Tan’s son U-Jiun, has no experience in the role.
