Reds consider move for in-demand Italian ace.
Liverpool are the latest in a long line of clubs to be linked with a move for highly-rated AC Milan striker Stephan El Shaarawy, according to talkSPORT.
The 20-year-old is rated as one of the best young players in world football at the moment, and this has seen him attract a great deal of attention from several top clubs in recent times.
Manchester City are known to be big admirers of his, and could revive their interest in him if he becomes available this January, while Borussia Dortmund are also said to be monitoring his situation.
The hugely talented forward scored 19 goals last season, and is also more than capable of playing out wide, drawing comparisons with world class stars such as Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo for his style of play.
With Liverpool arguably lacking in both departments, El Shaarawy looks an ideal target for Brendan Rodgers this January, though he would no doubt be one of the more expensive players on the market, with Milan likely to do everything in their power to keep this star of the future at the San Siro.
The Merseyside giants have also recently been linked with a surprise move for another Milan star, Mario Balotelli.
