Manchester United Will Sign £15m-Rated England Star In January

Red Devils have been monitoring attack-minded full back for some time now.

Premier League champions Manchester United will return to Everton when the winter transfer window opens again for business in the new year to finally sign in-demand defender Leighton Baines, according to reports in the Sunday Express.

The Red Devils were keeping close tabs on the England international throughout the entire summer transfer window, with new United head coach David Moyes understood to be desperate to be reunited with his former player at Old Trafford.

However, the Merseyside giants steadfastly refused to do business with their rivals from Manchester, with the Toffees twice turning down offers from United for Baines, whose contract at Goodison now only runs until June 2015.

But with recently appointed Everton manager Roberto Martinez still to have even sat down with the left back to discuss the possibility of Baines extending his stay on Merseyside beyond the end of his current deal, it is believed that the club are now prepared to finally allow the Englishman to seal his dream move to United.

And as long as the champions meet Everton’s £15 million valuation of the 28-year-old, who has scored 24 goals in 255 matches for the club, then they will be happy to sell Baines at the turn of the year.
