Norwich City Target Former Defender To Replace Chris Hughton as Carrow Road Boss

Scot was a hugely popular player in east Anglia between 1998 and 2004.

Premier League strugglers Norwich City are eyeing up a move for unsettled Cardiff City head coach Malky Mackay to take over from their own under-pressure manager Chris Hughton at Carrow Road, according to reports in the Daily Mail.

The likeable Hughton is facing the axe following the Canaries’ 7-0 thrashing against Manchester City in the Premier League at Eastlands on Saturday afternoon, a defeat that leaves Norwich in the the top-flight relegation zone after the first ten games of the season.

And it is understood that the east Anglia outfit will move for the highly rated Mackay, who played for the club for six years, if they decide that Hughton is unable to quickly turn Norwich’s fortunes around.
