The London Evening Standard claim that the West London club could well be ready to consider approaches for Spanish playmaker Juan Mata.

The pint sized attacking midfielder has started just five Premier League fixtures this season and has failed to make all that much of an impact when called upon, leaving Mourinho happy to use Brazilian Oscar in preference to the former Valencia man.

Mata had two standout seasons following his arrival at Stamford Bridge, playing a pivotal role in the club’s Champions League and Europa League triumphs but until his form improves there will continue to be speculation about his long term future at Chelsea.

The Daily Express have linked PSG with a £40m bid for the 25 year old and a bid of that magnitude may well be considered by Mourinho.

David Luiz is another who could seemingly be set for a Chelsea exit after a less than convincing start to the season which has seen the Brazilian start less than half of the club’s top tier fixtures.

Mourinho has used John Terry as his first choice central defender with Luiz sharing partnership responsibilities with Gary Cahill and the England man has edged the former Benfica man thus far this season.

Barcelona are said to be interested and the Daily Mail believe Chelsea will sell to the Nou Camp side if they offer an improvement on their last offer of £35m, which could well occur in January.

Luiz is something of a fan favourite but his inconsistent displays have made him a player Mourinho is willing to cash-in on.

Demba Ba has fallen way down the Chelsea pecking order and is now a player Mourinho will look to offload and Arsenal are set to offer as much as £15m for the Senegal international according to the Daily Star.

Given that such an offer would be twice the amount the Blues paid Newcastle United for the off form forward one can assume that such a bid would be gladly accepted by Chelsea, even if that would mean selling to a direct Premier League rival.

Demba Ba has failed to score in his last ten Premier League fixtures and is behind the likes of Fernando Torres, Samuel Eto’o and Andre Schurrle in Jose Mourinho’s striking options.

Belgian youngster Kevin de Bruyne looks set to be sent out on loan with Schalke being the most likely destination for the Chelsea bit-part player according to Goal.com.

Lack of first team football is in danger of compromising the £7m Chelsea signing’s prominent role in Marc Wilmots’ Belgian national team set-up, a point the manager himself has stated publicly.

The former goal-scoring midfielder has specifically suggested a move to the Bundesliga club would be worthwhile, stating;

“If Kevin asked me, I could only tell him good things about Schalke,” said the Belgium boss. “Of course the final decision is up to Chelsea, who have him under contract. But Schalke is definitely a great club.

“Schalke was the best time in my whole career as a player. Unbelievable atmosphere, fantastic fans – the whole club is absolutely unique.”

De Bruyne spent last season on loan at Werder Bremen but returned to the Chelsea first team this summer and impressed during pre-season action but has since made just two Premier League starts.
