And that is because it is understood that the Premier League giants are all thought to be weighing up making a move for the Italian as soon as the winter transfer window opens again for business in the new year, after the outstanding start to the new Serie A campaign that the player has made for Torino.

In total so far Cerci has mas managed to record an impressive eight goals and three assists in just 12 league outings for Torino, form that has also caught the eye of Serie A champions Juventus, however, the Italian club’s president is adamant that his star man is going nowhere in January.

“I haven’t received any calls from England for Cerci, even if I read in the newspapers that there is interest from British clubs,” Torino president Urbano Cairo told TMW.

“As far as I am concerned, there’s no truth to it. Will he stay at Torino in January? Of course!”
