Man United are ready lodge a £16m bid that would trigger the release clause contained in the contract of impressive young Atletico Madrid midfielder Koke according to the Daily Star.
AC Milan and Liverpool are also tracking the 21 year old Spanish international who has this season played a pivotal role in the La Liga side’s continued fine form, form that has seen Diego Simeone’s men split giants Barcelona and Real Madrid.
Simeone has already identified Chelsea youngster Kevin de Bruyne as a possible replacement for the locally born starlet and Barcelona are said to be keeping tabs on the flair player, who is the joint leading assist maker in La Liga this season.
Old Trafford boss David Moyes could well do with added creativity in his midfield as new signing Marouane Fellaini has been used in a withdrawn role and Shinji Kagawa has offered little when called upon and the likes of Michael Carrick and Tom Cleverley are not known for their prowess in the final third.
Koke has made 130 appearances for Atletico and has seven national team caps to his name.
