Zenit enter the race to sign Brazilian-born midfield star.
Russian giants Zenit St Petersburg are set to rival Premier League pair Arsenal and Liverpool in the race to sign Hellas Verona midfielder Jorginho in the January transfer window, according to Sports Direct News.
The Brazilian-born Italian international has been lighting up Serie A with a series of exciting performances this season and has largely been tipped to make the move to the Premier League soon with both Arsenal and Liverpool said to be keeping a close eye on his progress.
Italian giants AC Milan and Juventus are both also said to be taking an interest too, but it now seems that Russian side Zenit St Petersburg will look to brush them all aside with a move of their own.
Zenit have managed to bring in some big names recently, with the likes of Hulk, Andrei Arshavin and Axel Witsel all donning the light blue shirt, and the club’s hierarchy are hoping to add the talented 21-year-old to their already star studded line up.
However, any move may be difficult to follow up with as the player’s agent has already suggested that he is hoping to see out the final year of his current deal before moving on elsewhere.
