The Bernabeu side attempted to land the 22 year old during his time at Lille and is seen by Carlo Ancelotti as a possible replacement for Argentine winger Angel Di Maria, who is strongly linked with a move away from the Spanish giants when the transfer window opens next month.

Hazard joined Chelsea in a £32m move in June 2012 and has been a massive success, scoring 22 goals and providing 23 assists in 82 appearances for the West London club and Jose Mourinho will certainly fight off advances for the Belgian international.
The talented youngster has arguably been one of Mourinho’s most dependable performers in what has already proved something of a challenging season.
One would also wonder just where Hazard would fit into Ancelotti’s first team set-up given that the Italian appears to be happy with using Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema in a front three, unless the former Chelsea boss sees Hazard as a potential central striking role in place of French international Benzema, which doesn’t appear to be one that would suit the pint sized Blues star.
