Old Trafford side hope to land Goodison Park youngster.
Man United are readying a move to tempt Everton into selling in-form midfielder Ross Barkley according to Sports Direct News.
The Toffees are keen to keep hold of 20 year old Barkley and are ready to offer the England international a new contract in order to head off a potential exit with former boss Moyes clearly intent on nabbing the Goodison Park starlet.
United are ready to offer Cleverley, who played under Roberto Martinez during a loan spell at Wigan Athletic, in a part exchange deal to land Barkley and should the Everton man push for an exit then such a deal could interest in the Spanish manager.
No doubt a number of Premier League sides will be tracking Barkley, who has more than three years to run on his current contract and as such would cost a fairly hefty fee.
Barkley is a regular in Martinez’s first team set-up, starting 13 of the club’s 16 Premier League fixtures this season.
