Man United have set their sights on PSG attacker Ezequiel Lavezzi according to Sports Direct News.

The Argentine forward has had an up and down time of it since moving from Napoli to the Parc des Princes back in July 2012 and Old Trafford boss David Moyes is keen to add quality to his attack in the January transfer window.

With the likes of Luis Antonio Valencia, Nani and Ashley Young all struggling for form it’s no surprise Moyes would look to bring in a winger, not least as the aforementioned trio, even when displaying their best form, offer little in the way of goal-scoring support to the Man United front-line.

Lavezzi has started just half of PSG’s Ligue 1 fixtures this season and could well jump at the chance of a move to the Premier League though will of course be cup tied from Champions League action.

PSG paid €30 (£25m) for Lavezzi 18 months ago but would perhaps accept offers a little lower than this outlay in order to secure a swift exit of a player that Laurent Blanc can arguably afford to cash in on.

The fact that Lavezzi can also play as a conventional centre-forward would be an added bonus for David Moyes.
