Chelsea Draw Up Stunning Six Man Striker Target Wish-List

Stamford Bridge boss ready to spend big to land chosen forward.

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho appears keen to bring in a prolific marksman to lead his Blues attack and the Daily Mail has named a six man shortlist of players the Stamford Bridge manager wants to approach.

Mourinho will not be pleased by the goal-scoring return of current strike trio Fernando Torres, Samuel Eto’o and Demba Ba, who between them have scored just five of Chelsea’s 32 Premier League goals this season.

Man United striker Wayne Rooney is apparently the Portuguese manager’s first choice candidate to spearhead the Chelsea attack though it seems clear that the Old Trafford side have no intention of selling the player, especially to a Premier League rival.

Following a turbulent summer the 28 year old has knuckled down and has arguably become Man United’s most consistent performer this season with the England man notching up ten goals and eleven assists in 21 appearances in all competitions this term.

Radamel Falcao is another on Mourinho’s wish-list and though the Ligue 1 side insist the 27 year old is not for sale the Colombian is apparently keen to leave the Stade Louis II, despite having only recently moved to the principality club.

This source believes that if AS Monaco were to sell then they’d need to be offered an increase on the £50m they paid Atletico Madrid for the lethal finisher.

Falcao has netted nine goals in 13 appearances this season.

PSG ace Edinson Cavani is also on Chelsea’s transfer radar and the former Napoli man is said to be keen on a Premier League move despite, as with Falcao, having only signed for the French side over the summer.

Chelsea would be expected to offer in excess of the £54m PSG paid Napoli for the Uruguayan.

Cavani has worked well alongside Zlatan Ibrahimovic this season, scoring 18 goals in 23 appearances.

Chelsea attempted to land Brazilian Hulk over the summer and will try again in January to capture the Zenit St Petersburg forward.

The former FC Porto man has got his career back into gear after a shaky first season in the Russian Premier League and has apparently asked to leave the club.

FC Porto are keen to raise funds following their Champions League exit and are willing to accept £35m for in-form attacker Jackson Martinez.

Jose Mourinho has recently personally scouted the powerful front-man and is ready to make an offer for the Colombian who has scored 13 goals in 19 games for Porto this season.

The final target named by this source is Aston Villa’s Christian Benteke, who has struggled to hit the heights he reached in his first season in the Premier League.

Aston Villa will demand £30m for the Belgian, who may well be keen to secure a move to Stamford Bridge where he would team-up with fellow compatriots Eden Hazard, Kevin de Bruyne as well as loaned out pair Thibaut Courtois and Romelu Lukaku.
