North London outfits to compete for Bosnian hitman.
Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are set to lock horns in the battle for Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko during the January transfer window, according to Sports Direct News.
Dzeko has struggled to gain a regular starting spot in the City first team ever since his £27m move from Bundesliga side Wolfsburg in January 2011 and has seen himself fall behind in the packing order to both Sergio Aguero and Alvaro Negredo this season.
However, Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is said to be a fan of the Bosnian international and may look to bring him on board in a bid to help the club with their own quest for the Premier League title by relieving some of the goalscoring burden from the shoulders of Olivier Giroud.
Meanwhile, they may very well face competition from local rivals Tottenham Hotspur as they look to steal in with a move of their own for the striker after they have struggled for goals since the start of the season.
Spanish side Valencia are also said to be interested and will make a bid of their own should Singaporean businessman Peter Lim finally manage to take control of the club.
