AC Milan Sack Manager Massimiliano Allegri

San Siro side axe boss after alarming run of poor form.

AC Milan have sacked manager Massimiliano Allegri according to reports on the BBC.

It is perhaps no big surprise that the San Siro side have opted to axe the 46 year old given that the Italian giants sit in 11th place in the table, some 30 points off top of the table Juventus.

Allegri did win the Serie A title in his first season in charge of the club but has come under growing pressure in recent weeks and last night’s 4-3 defeat to minnows Sassuolo was perhaps the final straw for owner Silvio Berlusconi.

Assistant coach Mauro Tassotti has been put in temporary charge of the side.

AC Milan have released a statement in relation to the sacking, stating;

“AC Milan would like to thank Mr Allegri and his staff for their time with the club and wishes them the best for the future.”
