The Brazilian has been one of Serie A’s most consistent performers for several season’s now and has been linked to a number of sides including Arsenal as well as Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint Germain.
He had resisted the urge to make a move over the summer, but has now given the clearest indication that he is set for an exit from the Stadio Olimpico as he has been stalling on penning new terms with the Rome based club.
However, Arsenal look set to be disappointed as the 28-year-old appears to be heading a little further north to Milan as Inter are in pole position to land his signature now.
New owner Erick Thohir has hinted that a number of top players could be making their way to the San Siro this month as he looks to continue the rebuilding process at the club.
Inter have reportedly agreed a four-year contract with Hernanes, but are yet to finalise the deal with Lazio, who want around £14m for the player.
