Nani In Line For Lisbon Return

Former Sporting Lisbon winger Nani could be in line for a return to his old club after they admitted that they would be interested in taking him on loan, according to the Daily Star.

The Portuguese wide man had previously been linked with a move to Italian giants Juventus, but may be tempted to head back to more familiar surroundings in a bid to kick start his career.

He has only started five games this season and has been declared as surplus to requirements.

Moyes Meets Juve Chief To Discuss Double Raid

United boss David Moyes has reportedly met with Juventus chief Beppe Marotta to discuss a potential double raid for midfield pair Paul Pogba and Arturo Vidal, the Daily Mail reports.

Moyes wants to bring Pogba back to Old Trafford after predecessor Sir Alex Ferguson foolishly let him leave in the summer of 2012 whilst Vidal has emerged as a more recent target.

The United boss travelled to Italy at the weekend to watch Juve take on Cagliari and cast a closer glance at his transfer targets.

United Set To Miss Out On Garay

Manchester United are set to miss out on signing long term target Ezequiel Garay as the Benfica man now looks to be on his way to Russian side Zenit St Petersburg, according to the Daily Express.

Garay had been close to joining United whilst Sir Alex Ferguson was in charge and had continued to see his name linked to the club under Moyes’ watch.

However, the Russian giants have sought to take advantage of United’s stalling and have seemingly agreed a double £35m for the Argentine international and teammate Rodrigo.

United To Offer Vidic Late Contract Extension

Manchester United are set to offer veteran defender Nemanja Vidic a further one year extension to keep the skipper at the club, the Daily Mirror reports.

Vidic is out of contract at the end of the season and is being chased by both Monaco and Galatasaray.

However, Moyes is aware how damaging it could be to lose him, Rio Ferdinand and Patrice Evra all in one go and is set to offer the influential stopper another 12 months with a slight increase of his current £90,000 per week salary.
