Done Deals: 21 Deals We Think Could Happen In the January Transfer Window

Twenty deals we think could go ahead before the end of the January transfer window.

Marek Hamsik – Napoli to Manchester United

David Moyes has been keeping an eye on the talented Slovakian, who often goes unnoticed in England even after several years of quality service to Napoli. However, Rafa Benitez may not be keen on losing one of his star men to a former rival.

Sebastian Giovinco – Juventus to Arsenal

The 26-year-old has been in and out of the Juve side this season, and now Arsene Wenger is keen on bringing him on board as an extra option to his attack.

Fernando – Porto to Liverpool

The Porto man had previously been linked with a move to Manchester United, but it is Liverpool who are now believed to be the frontrunners to land his signature this winter.

Aleksandar Kolarov – Manchester City to Zenit St Petersburg

The 28-year-old has struggled to establish himself as a regular under both Roberto Mancini and Manuel Pellegrini and could find himself on his way to Russia if Zenit can cough up the £5m required to take him away.

Paul Pogba – Juventus to Paris Saint Germain

The man now being cited as one of the best midfielders in the world right now is unlikely to want to return to England following his bad experiences while at United, but PSG could be in luck if they can offer enough.

Luuk de Jong – Borussia Monchengladbach to Newcastle United

The Dutch striker enjoyed a bright start to his career in Germany but has fallen out of favour recently and could now be shipped out to Newcastle, who are still desperately seeking some fresh blood up front.

Will Hughes – Derby County to Liverpool

The teenager has been making waves in the Championship this season and now Brendan Rodgers is hoping to bring him to Anfield where he can continue his education in the top flight.

Joleon Lescott – Manchester City to Aston Villa

Pellegrini clearly doesn’t fancy the England international and he has a World Cup spot to secure this summer. A return home could be on the cards, for the right price…

Thomas Vermaelen – Arsenal to Barcelona

Barcelona are still looking for fresh faces to add to the defence and could be tempted to go if for a cut price deal for the Belgian international, who is struggling to win his place back from Laurent Koscielny and Per Mertesacker.

Adrien Rabiot – Paris Saint Germain to Tottenham Hotspur

The French teen is being tipped as a future star, but with PSG insisting on continuously buying the world’s best talent he is being linked with a move to London to continue his development at White Heart Lane.

Marc-Andre Ter Stegen – Borussia Monchenglabach to Barcelona

The German international has been linked with the job between the sticks at Barcelona for a long time now, and this month could be the one that sees him link up with the club to replace Victor Valdes.

Wilfred Zaha – Manchester United to Cardiff City

The youngster has barely featured all season and must be feeling rather hard done by in actually joining the club. However, salvation is available in the shape of the Premier League’s latest Welsh competitors.

Andre-Pierre Gignac – Marseille to West Ham United

The French international is wanted in East London as cover for the perm-injured Andy Carroll. The club have already had one bid rejected, but more money could see a seasoned striker on his way to Upton Park.

Tom Ince – Blackpool to Swansea City

It’s high time the boy from Blackpool took the step up to the Premier League now after lighting up the Championship so frequently at Bloomfield Road. Michael Laudrup has entered talks with the player and could add another vital cog to his machine.

Juan Mata – Chelsea to Atletico Madrid

The Spaniard may fancy a return home this winter as his Chelsea career appears to have hit the skids, and everyone’s favourite second team Atletico Madrid might look to take advantage of his current situation.

Alan Hutton – Aston Villa to Fulham

Fulham are in need of some grit and steel, whereas Hutton just needs games. The Scot has been frozen out at Villa Park and is not likely to play for them again, The Cottagers may be on hand to offer salvation.

Lewis Holtby – Tottenham Hotspur to Schalke

The German international may be on his way back to his former club, but only if they can shift one of their own first. A potential Deadline Day blockbuster.

Eric Dier – Sporting Lisbon to Everton

The young English defender has been on the radar of the Toffees for some time and Roberto Martinez may look to bring him in to help boost the side’s defence as well as secure a hugh talent for their future.

Cesc Fabregas – Barcelona to Manchester United

The Spanish midfielder was the subject of a bid by the Red Devils over the summer, but they saw their advances promptly rejected. However, with the player unhappy with how the season is turning out for him he may look to move on if David Moyes can dig a little deeper into his pocket.

Iker Casillas – Real Madrid to Manchester City

Casillas has had his eye on the exit door for several months now as he is still being overlooked on a weekly basis. City want someone to take over from Joe Hart after a series of shaky performances and are one of the very few clubs that would be able to afford the Spanish number one.

Radamel Falcao – Monaco to Chelsea

Unhappy with the standard of football in France, the Colombian international may seek a switch over to the infinitely more competitive Premier League in order to keep himself fired up for the World Cup this summer. A loan is more likely, with a very expensive option to buy in the summer.
