Hull City have the eighth best defensive record in the Premier League, but improvements are needed in attack and away from home.

Steve Bruce’s Hull City Tigers have conceded the 8th least goals in the Premier League this season, which is particularly impressive for a promoted side.
While most teams in the top flight have been thrashed at some point, Hull have only conceded four goals in a match once, in a 4-1 defeat to Southampton, and three goals on one other occasion in their 3-2 home loss to Manchester United.
Hull may not get drubbed very often, but they do need to work on their potency in attack.
All but two of their six Premier League victories have been when keeping a clean sheet, and three of those have been by 1-0.
Bruce’s side have also only scored more than one goal in four fixtures this season.
That probably explains Steve Bruce bringing strikers Nikica Jelavic and Shane Long to the KC Stadium this month.
Hull have two targets for the second half of the season – firstly to boost their goal threat, and secondly to improve their away record.
They have only claimed one victory away from home all season – the 3-2 victory at Newcastle in September – and have the 19th best away record in the Premier League.
