David Moyes is said to be keen on attacking midfielder Marek Hamsik and could well be interested in using Portuguese wide-man Nani as bait in the chase for the Slovakian.

The Scot has had scouts monitoring the 26 year old playmaker, who is into his seventh season at the San Paolo and could be tempted by a fresh challenge.

Moyes is said to be keen on freshening up his central midfield options and having brought in Juan Mata to add creativity in the final third a push for Hamsik would certainly greatly benefit Man United’s push for a crucial top four finish.

Hamsik has scored 66 goals in 224 appearances for Napoli and one would imagine that the use of Nani would only be part of a cash plus player bid.

Nani has been off the boil for the best part of three seasons and has made just five Premier League starts this season, with only one of these coming since October.
