The Santiago Bernabeu outfit have so far resisted making a move for the Uruguayan international during the January transfer window, but are still keen on bringing him on board next summer and will make a fresh approach for him then.
However, Brendan Rodgers has told Madrid’s representatives that he want’s talented young playmaker Isco in exchange or else he won’t even consider selling the controversial striker.
Isco has been regarded as one of the finest young players in Europe at the moment and Real may instead look to offload 21-year-old striker Alvaro Morata instead.
Morata has struggled to establish himself as a regular starter in the first team this season, though his potential has often drawn links from the likes of Arsenal.
But it still remains to be seen as to whether Morata will be considered as a suitable replacement for Suarez, and the Reds may decide to demand a fee around £70m for the striker should the Spaniards refuse to include Isco as part of the deal.
