Mertesacker and Giroud take responsibility for Anfield Humiliation…
Arsenal were drubbed 5-1 by title rivals Liverpool on Saturday, and two of their players took to Twitter to apologise to fans for the dire performance.
The Gunners were 4-0 down after 18 minutes, and if anything, were lucky to only concede one more goal after the shocking opening period.
Here’s what Per Mertesacker and Olivier Giroud tweeted to fans after the match…
(The latter has been reported to have spent the night before the match with a female, not getting to bed until 3am…)
sorry guys, this was a bad day for the whole team. No we have to stand together in the defeat and get our heads sorted again.
