Atleti ace may be heading to London.
Manchester United could be set to miss out on long time target Koke of Atletico Madrid to Premier League rivals Chelsea this summer, according to the Daily Star.
United had made a bid for the highly-rated midfielder over the summer, but saw their efforts fail, though they are widely expected to return for him at the end of the season for an improved second attempt.
However, the Madrid based giants are believed to be prepared to offer the player to Chelsea instead.
Atletico are said to be desperate to hang onto young Belgian international goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois beyond the en of the current campaign and the club are willing to put together a package of £16m in cash plus Koke.
This will come as bad new to David Moyes, who had been looking to bring the Spanish under-21 star on board in order to help ease his problems in midfield following a difficult first campaign in charge of the club.
Koke has a £50m release clause in his contract, which United see as too much, however, that is only in place to prevent him from leaving on a cut price fee.
