The Nigeria Under-17 international has been attracting the attentions of many of the Continent’s biggest clubs after playing a starring role in his country’s stunning recent triumph in the Fifa U17 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates.
In fact, it appeared as though the 16-year-old was all set to move to Camp Nou last week, with the player’s agent understood to have conducted talks with Barca regarding a move to Catalunya.
However, it now turns out that in actual fact it is the north London club who have agreed a deal to sign the player, with reports even suggesting that the winger is all set to have a medical at White Hart Lane before the weekend ahead of putting pen to paper on a five-year contract with Spurs.
And then Yahaya, who currently plays for Mutunchy Academy back in his homeland, will remain with his current employers until he turns 17, when he will then be eligible for a work permit and can then move to the capital.
