Luke Shaw (Southampton)

The west Londoners are in urgent need of a new left back at Stamford Bridge following the loss of form of experienced England international Ashley Cole of late, and who better to fill the veteran’s large shoes at the club than the player’s heir apparent in the national team?

Eliaquim Mangala (FC Porto)

Central defence is another problem area for the Blues, with skipper John Terry certainly not getting any younger, however, the Uefa Europa League holders should look no further than the Dragao for the Englishman’s long-term replacement in the capital.

William Carvalho (Sporting Lisbon)

The young Portugal international is earning rave reviews at present with his powerful, all-action displays in front of the Portuguese giants’ back four, and with Chelsea known to be on the look out for a new holding midfielder, Carvalho would be the ideal man to fill that void next season.

Ross Barkley (Everton)

Without doubt, one of the brightest prospects to have come out of England in recent years, with the Merseysiders’ eye-catching performances for the Toffees so far this season under Roberto Martinez’s astute management marking the wonderkid out for a bright future in the game.

Cristian Tello (Barcelona)

The Catalan giants’ Spanish starlet still cannot get anywhere near the La Liga champions’ starting lineup and must surely be weighing up his career options come the end of the campaign, with the Premier League giants an ideal next port of call for the impressive young forward.

Alvaro Morata (Real Madrid)

The likes of Liverpool and Arsenal both tried to lure the exciting Spain U21 international to the Premier League during the recent January transfer window, however, with the striker still being restricted mainly to substitute appearances at the Santiago Bernabeu so far this season, the Blues could do worse than making a move for the 21-year-old this summer.

Paul Pogba (Juventus)

Without doubt the most promising attacking starlet currently on show in Serie A, with the France international having lit up the Italian top flight with his sensational displays for the Old Lady of Italian Football in this campaign, and with Juve unlikely to be able to keep hold of the playmaker this summer, the west Londoners should act fast to snap the wonderkid up.

Julian Draxler (Schalke 04)

The Germany international is rightly regarded as being one of the hottest properties in the Bundesliga at present, with a whole host of big-name clubs having been running their eye over the 20-year-old of late, although it will need a huge offer the like of which only Chelsea could afford to lure the midfielder away from Schalke this summer.

Gerard Deulofeu (FC Barcelona)

The Spain U21 international has already made quite an impression during his short loan stint at Goodison Park this season, however, with the La Liga champions said to be willing to let their attacking starlet leave Camp Nou this summer on a permanent basis, Blues boss Jose Mourinho should seriously ponder making a move for the player.

Alberto Moreno (Sevilla)

The highly rated Spaniard has been attracting a lot of attention in La Liga so far in this campaign and with the left back having recently even been called up to the Spanish national team, the attacking full back would be the perfect man to take over from Ashley Cole at Stamford Bridge in the long term.
