The France international’s current contract with the north London club now only runs until June 30 2015 and as yet, the central defender has still to be offered a new deal by the Premier League side.

And that is because it is understood that the north Londoners are worried about the Frenchman’s current fitness levels, especially following Kaboul’s most recent layoff with a long-term knee injury, with Tottenham feeling that the 28-year-old has still to return to the form he was showing before he suffered the problem.

As a result, the Italian outfit are now believed to be hoping to take advantage of the current uncertainty surrounding Kaboul’s future at White Hart Lane by offering the centre back a lucrative two-year deal to move to Florence next season, with the option of a third year as well if the switch proves successful.

And while there has also reportedly been other interest in Kaboul’s services from the Middle East, the defender is said to favour a switch to Fiorentina this summer of he does decide to quit Spurs.
