10) Yaya Toure (Manchester City) – 12 out of a team total of 68 Premier League goals this season: 18%

The powerful and box-to-box midfielder has been an inspiration at times for Manuel Pellegrini’s free-flowing attacking unit in the top flight this season, as his impressive haul of 12 goals in the Premier League testifies.

9) Olivier Giroud (Arsenal) – 10/48 goals: 21%

The France international started off the season on fire up front for the north London club, and even taking into account the front man’s relative dip in form in front of goal since the turn of the year, Giroud has still managed to contribute a staggering 21 per cent of all of his side’s goals in the Premier League this season.

8) Sergio Aguero (Manchester City) – 15/68 goals: 22%

No real surprise to find the name of the little Argentinian on this list, even with the number of niggling knee and hamstring injuries that the forward has been forced to endure which have reduced the number of Aguero’s Premier League goals to just 15 so far this season.

7) Romelu Lukaku (Everton) – 9/37 goals: 24%

Again, another attacker whose campaign has been hit by injury of late, with the giant Belgium having suffered a serious knee problem in January’s Merseyside derby, a setback that has deprived Roberto Martinez’s side of a player who has scored 24% of all of the team’s goals in the top flight in this campaign.

6) Robin van Persie (Manchester United) – 10/41 goals: 24%

Similar to with both Lukaku and Aguero, last season’s Premier League top scorer has not been able to feature in all of the champions league outings in this campaign due to a number of niggling injuries, although the Dutchman has still managed to net 10 times though, which represents 24% of all of the Red Devils’ top-flight strikes.

5) Daniel Sturridge (Liverpool) – 16/66 goals: 24%

The England international has moved his game up another level since swapping Chelsea for Liverpool this time last year, and there can be no better demonstration of that than the fact that the striker has scored almost one in four of all of the Reds’ goals in the Premier League so far this campaign.

4) Eden Hazard (Chelsea) – 12/48 goals: 25%

What a sensational campaign the Belgium international is currently enjoying at Stamford Bridge, with the diminutive playmaker incredibly the west London club’s top scorer in the Premier League with an impressive 12 strikes, which works out at a quarter of all of the Blues’ goals in the top flight.

3) Jay Rodriguez (Southampton) – 10/37 goals: 27%

A surprise entry in this top 10 perhaps, although the newly capped England international’s displays up front for the south coast club this season have demonstrated just what a key individual he has become for the Saints.

2) Loic Remy (Newcastle United) – 11/32 goals: 34%

The France international is only currently on a season-long loan at St James’ Park from Championship outfit Queens Park Rangers, but there is no doubting that come the end of the campaign the north-east giants will try and move heaven and earth in order to land the red-hot attacker on a permanent contract after the form he has shown in front of goal for Alan Pardew’s men.

1) Luis Suarez (Liverpool) – 23/66 goals: 35%

Well, no prizes for guessing the identity of the Premier League’s Most Valuable Player after the opening half of the season that the Uruguay international has produced for the Merseyside giants.

Suarez, who actually missed the first two months of the campaign through suspension, is both his club’s and the Premier League’s top scorer with 23 strikes, which works out at an eye-catching 35% of all of Liverpool’s league goals to date.
