Didier Drogba Tempted By Chelsea Return

Move back to Stamford Bridge could be on the cards.

Former Chelsea legend Didier Drogba has made it clear he’d jump at the chance of a move back to Stamford Bridge according to reports in the Daily Mail.

The veteran Ivory Coast international has admitted he would be tempted by a move back to the West London side in the summer if Jose Mourinho were to make a move for his services.

The 35 year old has been a big hit since moving to Turkish giants Galatasaray but is out of contract in the summer and as such is considering his options;

‘My contract ends this summer and then I will decide what is the best solution for me. But I had a great time at Chelsea and if Jose was saying, “Didier, I want you to come back”, I would think about it.’

Despite his age Drogba is keen to emphasize he has a lot of football in him, stating;

‘I feel young and full of football. It’s like I’m still a kid when I’m chasing the ball’

Drogba enjoyed an eight season spell at Chelsea prior to his move to China, which in turn led to an Istanbul switch and during his time at the Premier League side the powerful forward scored 157 goals in 341 appearances.

Since moving to Galatasaray Drogba has helped the club to a Super Lig title and the quarter-finals of last season’s Champions League, netting 18 goals in 48 matches.
