Liverpool – Three In Three Out: Potential Summer Transfer Window Plans

Three players the Anfield should buy and sell in the summer transfer window.

Three In

Isco – Real Madrid

The talented young playmaker was on the rise as one of Europe’s top talents last summer and had his pick of the bunch when it came to potential destinations for his future. However, he decided to stay in Spain and make the move to Madrid where he has found things a little tougher going this time around. He has fallen victim to Gareth Bale’s incredible form and is not likely to break ahead of the Welshman anytime soon.

He has been linked with a move to Manchester City, but the Reds have had midfield problems of their own and would do very well to bring the young Spaniard on board.

Moussa Dembele – Tottenham Hotspur

The Belgian international is another player that has failed to settle at a new club and Liverpool could look to rescue him from his north London purgatory and help restore him back to the player he once was at Fulham.

Spurs may not want to sell to a direct rival, but they will be planning a squad overhaul of their own this summer and thanks to some inconsistent form the midfield ace may find himself heading through the exit door at White Heart Lane.

Alberto Moreno – Sevilla

The Reds have had problems in the left-back slot this term and have sought several options to solve it to little avail. The Spaniard could finally be the man to help the club stop the rot and evolve into a top Premier League side once again.

With Brendan Rodgers’ propensity for talented youngsters, coupled with Sevilla’s insistence on selling their best players these days then a deal could very well be struck to bring the star to Anfield.

Three Out

Martin Skrtel

The big Slovakian has enjoyed a good run in Merseyside but has seen his influence diminish over the past two years as the inconsistent performances have added up and the time may be right to ship him out to pastures new.

Still able to command a healthy transfer fee, there will be no shortage of offers for his services (Napoli, probably) and the money acquired for him would be well spent on bringing in somebody to replace him.

Iago Aspas

Some moves just don’t work out they are supposed to, and if there was a definition of that in a dictionary then Iago Aspas would be the foremost example.

The striker helped keep a feisty Celta Vigo side in La Liga last season and caught Brendan Rodgers’ eye in doing so. A quick deal was made but just hasn’t been worth the outlay as he is still yet to find a goal, and he is subsequently finding a starting berth at Anfield difficult. He will most likely head back to Spain in the summer as Valencia and Celta showed an initial interest in bringing him on board.

Oussama Assaidi

The Moroccan’s lack of action last season saw many Reds fans question why the club had even signed him, and with the midfield issues they’ve had this time around it is a surprise that they haven’t sought to recall him from a loan spell with Stoke City.

Sadly for him, though, the clue now appear to have loftier ambitions than he is able to contend with as a slew of new talent is all set to flock through the doors over the summer. With three goals in 16 games in the Potteries, however, he has proved that he is more than capable of making an impact on the Premier League and may tempt a slightly smaller side into making a move for him.
