Ten Ways David Moyes Could be an Even Worse Man United Manager

Think it’s been a bad debut season for the Old Trafford manager? It could get far far worse…

1. Bring back Bebe to lead Man United attack

Worrying for Man United fans this is not beyond the realms of possibility, the Portuguese youngster has netted a couple of stunning goals whilst on loan at Paços de Ferreira.

2. Use Tom Cleverley, Darren Fletcher AND Michael Carrick in the same starting XI

David Moyes is renowned for his dull approach to football and whilst we all love to see our sides to ‘flood the midfield’ but when that flood includes a clueless Cleverley then it really is nothing short of a natural disaster.

3. Continue to use Javier Hernandez only when Man United are losing and desperation kicks in

The Mexican has a healthy goal-scoring ratio though this is unlikely to continue when he’s only offered a chance to score with minutes left on the clock and he’s tasked with the job of trying to wrestle something from a losing position.

4. Attempt to sign former Everton charge Jack Rodwell

Not getting a game at Man City but the former Toffees star could well be a David Moyes target. It’s a move that will of course make Etihad Stadium supporters laugh uncontrollably, so is therefore on the cards.

5. Everton finish the season above their former boss

It’s going to happen. This will a) prove that what David Moyes ‘achieved’ at Everton wasn’t all that hard to replicate and even improve upon and b) leave Goodison Park fans mightily pleased they allowed the Scot to leave for a ‘bigger’ club.

6. Celebrate wildly the next time Man United secure a last minute draw against inferior opposition

He’s done it before. It has been frankly embarrassing to see the Old Trafford boss beaming with delight after his side have ‘managed’ to net against a relegation battling side.

7. Turn Juan Mata into the new Darron Gibson

David Moyes doesn’t ‘do entertainment’ so expect the Spaniard to be employed in a holding role before too long.

8. Commission a ‘Welcome to Manchester’ poster with Marouane Fellaini as the cover star.

David Moyes has managed to take a good player with an eye for goal and the ability to be a real handful in the final third and made him a defensively minded central midfielder. Now it’s time he fronted a promotional campaign.

9. Finishing the season without qualifying for the Champions League, a first for Man United.

This too is ‘on the cards’. Amazing really. Man United have never not qualified for Europe’s showpiece trophy, can you imagine the blow to the club’s beaming reputation if they fail to do so this season.

10. Qualifying for the Europa League

No one wants to play in the Europa League. Partaking in the competition practically guarantees you will have a disastrous league campaign. All the more reason for David Moyes to fight tooth and nail to secure that all important fifth place finish….
