The former Arsenal, Chelsea and Real Madrid star has also been served to complete a ‘compulsory education course’.
An independent panel found that “did not find that Anelka is an Anti-Semite or that he intended to express or promote Anti-Semitism by his use of quenelle”.
The French striker insisted the gesture, which many feel is anti-semitic, was simply in support of his comedian friend Dieudonna M’bala M’bala.
