Europe’s 10 Most Dangerous Attacking Trios: Real Madrid Pip Liverpool’s Excellent Front Three

Chelsea and Manchester City attackers also make the list…

Find out who are the most valuable players in world football.

Including goals from all competitions this season, here are the ten most potent ‘attacking trios’ in European football at the moment, based on each side’s top three goalscorers.

10) Chelsea – Eden Hazard, Samuel Eto’o and Oscar – 33 goals

Chelsea’s strikers have struggled this term, but Eden Hazard’s 14 strikes on goal have largely got them out of trouble. Jose Mourinho is desperate to secure a world-class forward in the summer, so the superstar Belgian might have more help next term.

9) Juventus – Carlos Tevez, Arturo Vidal, Fernando Llorente – 45 goals

Summer signings Tevez and Llorente have pitched in with 15 and 13 respectively, while world-class midfield dynamo Arturo Vidal has bagged a very impressive 17.

8) Borussia Dortmund – Robert Lewandowski, Marco Reus and Pierre Emerick Aubameyang – 50 goals

Polish hitman Lewandowski’s notched 21 so far, with Gabonese paceman Aubameyang notching 16 since his summer arrival. Dortmund will have some trouble replacing Lewandowski when he joins Bayern Munich at the end of the season.

7) Liverpool – Luis Suarez, Daniel Sturridge and Raheem Sterling – 52 goals

No player in European football has scored more league goals than Suarez this season so far, with the Uruguayan sensation notching 24. His strike partner Sturridge has been almost as good, bagging 18 in 17 Premier League starts.

6) Atletico Madrid – Diego Costa, David Villa and Raul Garcia – 54 goals

Diego Costa has been exceptional for Atletico this term, bagging 27 so far. Veteran Spaniard David Villa has provided him with ample support, scoring 13.

5) Bayern Munich – Mario Mandzukic, Arjen Robben and Thomas Muller – 58 goals

Bayern are still yet to lose in the Bundesliga, and are the favourites to retain the Champions League title as well. They are truly the exceptional club side in world football, and have partly these three sensational attackers to thank.

4) Barcelona – Alexis Sanchez, Lionel Messi and Pedro – 59 goals

Argentine sensation Messi has apparently not hit his usual heights this season, but he’s still notched 27 goals so far. Alexis Sanchez has outscored him in La Liga though, notching.

3) PSG – Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Edinson Cavani and Ezequiel Lavezzi – 61 goals

The French club’s outstanding front three will likely fire them to Ligue 1 glory, but also gives them a realistic chance of winning the Champions League as well.

2) Manchester City – Sergio Aguero, Alvaro Negredo and Edin Dzeko – 66 goals

Aguero and Negredo have been lethal together when the Argentine’s been fit enough to start, and Bosnian forward Dzeko has provided ample support in reserve.

1) Real Madrid – Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema – 72 goals

Probably the world’s most dangerous front three, and easily the most expensive, Ronaldo, Benzema and Bale have lived up to their mammoth price tags this season. World Player of the Year Ronaldo has the most, scoring a ludicrous 37 already.
