10) Marc Wilson – Stoke City – 4 key mistakes

Stoke’s no-nonsense centre-back isn’t the most technically gifted, and as a result, but luckily for him, only one of his four mistakes have led to his side conceding goals this term.

9) Joe Hart – Manchester City – 4 key mistakes

Hart’s mistakes earlier in the season actually led to England’s no.1 being temporarily dropped, but he’s now re-found his form and will be key to City’s title run-in. All of his mistakes ended in goals conceded.

8) Jonjo Shelvey – Swansea City – 4 key mistakes

Shelvey made two of these mistakes (both of which led to goals) in a frantic match against his former club Liverpool earlier in the season! Since then, he’s been one of Swansea’s better players, impressing with his array of long passes.

7) Hugo Lloris – Tottenham – 4 key mistakes

Spurs’ keeper loves to rush out of his area and act as a sweeper behind his defence, and while it is usually effective, it’s occasionally ill-judged. Because he’s the last man, three of these four mistakes have led to goals.

6) Mikel Arteta – Arsenal – 5 key mistakes

Arteta’s job in Arsenal’s midfield is to sit deep and provide his back four protection, which makes this stat look all the more unimpressive. Luckily for Arsenal though, none of his errors have led directly to goals.

5) Sebastien Bassong – Norwich – 5 key mistakes

The powerful defender has started 23 of Norwich’s games this season, and is the first of two Canaries on this list. He is powerful, but his decision making him can let him down.

4) Ryan Shawcross – Stoke City – 5 key mistakes

Marc Wilson’s central defensive partner Shawcross also makes the list, showing that Stoke might need to invest in a new centre-back with Robert Hughes still suffering with injuries.

3) Simon Mignolet – Liverpool – 5 key mistakes

Mignolet started brilliantly at Liverpool, but unfortunately for the Belgian, his form dropped off around Christmas time, as he made two high-profile mistakes which led to goals against Chelsea and Manchester City.

2) Tim Krul – Newcastle United – 6 key mistakes

The Magpies stopper made more saves in one game than any match in Premier League history against Tottenham earlier in the season, but has not found that heroic form on many more occasions this term.

1) John Ruddy – Norwich – 9 key mistakes

With three more potentially decisive mistakes than any other player in the league, it’s a wonder that Ruddy’s probably going to the World Cup with England this summer. Four of these mistakes have led to goal for relegation threatened Norwich as well.
